Many files are too large to upload in their original form, so the program HJSplit is used to split them into smaller, easier to manage parts. These smaller parts then become file types .001, .002, .003, etc.
Make sure you save these files correctly. Usually they save automatically the right way, but every once in a while windows tries to save the .001 file as a default media file and it screws up all the files in that particular episode and they can't be rejoined. So it's really important to look at how your computer is saving the .001 file.
*When you go to download the files and the little window pops up where you choose the location to save the file, you have to make sure you select "all files" as the file type.
Once you've downloaded these files, you need to rejoin them back into their original larger form in order to watch them. To do this, you need have HJSplit installed. It can be found here.
To rejoin the files:
-Open HJSplit
-click "join"
-click "imput file"
-select the file you wish to join (only the .001 files will show up...HJSplit will automatically select the coresponding .002, .003 etc. files)
-click "start"
(Once the files are rejoined into a complete episode, you can go back and delete the old .001, 002, .003 etc files.)
